CAR 147 Training

The Training Facility at Air Works, known as Air Works Aviation Academy is approved for conducting Type Training for the Airbus A320 family under DGCA CAR 147 approval since Aug 2019. We have conducted 02 full type courses (one each on Airbus A 320 and Boeing B737) and 04 Engine Difference Course on CFM 56/IAE V2500/ CFM LEAP 1A and PW 1100G engines. A total number of 85 trainees have passed out of our Academy. We have already conducted two engine differences courses in the current year and will be conducting one type course and one more engine difference course this year on A320 family of aircraft and associated engines. We have tie ups with EASA 147 approved organisations to provide EASA approved courses as well.

Our Offerings include:

  • Airbus A320 Full Type course for B1 (DGCA and EASA)
  • Airbus A320 Full Type course for B2 (DGCA and EASA)
  • Engine Differences CFM 56 – IAE V 2500 and vice versa (DGCA and EASA)
  • Engine Differences CFM 56/ IAE V 2500 to CFM LEAP1 A / PW1100 G (DGCA and EASA)

CAR 145 Training

We at Air Works Aviation Academy take pride in ourselves in ensuring strict compliance of mandatory CAR 145 Training Requirements, whether it is initial or continuous. We have the ability to conduct the following programs:

  • Type Refresher
  • General Familiarization A 320, B 737
  • Human Factors  – Initial and Continuation
  • Fuel Tank Safety - Initial and Continuation
  • Safety Management System 
  • Electrical Wiring Interconnect System Training
  • Electro Static Discharge Sensitive Training
  • Store Procedures.

Students Program

We also facilitate practical experience of 300 hours in accordance with CAR 66 requirements to students of colleges approved under the CAR 147 Basic certification. We provide this practical experience in our DGCA CAR 145 and EASA Part 145 Approved Base Maintenance Facility. Presently we have 283 students from various colleges undergoing different phases of their training at our facility.

In addition to the above we also facilitate practical experience for DGCA and EASA students and also DGCA 06 month OJT for students who have undergone their theory training prior to 147 Basic came into force.

We also have tie ups with several foreign institutions and also facilitate Practical Training for their students at our Base Maintenance Facility which offers opportunities for students to observe deep level Maintenance and C level checks being carried out on aircraft. Our students can also benefit from the vast repository of knowledge hosted on our Learning Management System and derive an added advantage of high quality informative videos.
