Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Legal
Responsibilities
An individual contributor, you will play a pivotal role in providing legal guidance and support to Air Works and its group companies. You will be responsible for advising on a wide range of legal matters including contracts, litigation, corporate issues, business structures, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), property, employment, and insurance issues. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying and mitigating legal risks to safeguard the company's interests. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Provide expert analysis and counsel on various legal issues encompassing corporate matters, business structures, M&A, property, and employment issues within the aviation industry.
• Draft and review contracts, agreements, and related documents pertaining to services provided to customers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), confidentiality agreements, employment contracts, leases, and software licenses.
• Analyze complex laws and regulations affecting the company's operations, including those arising from corporate structures and business models.
• Represent the company and/or senior executives and managers in legal proceedings or oversee such representation by external counsel.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel on intricate legal matters, ensuring the coordination and supervision of all work outsourced to law firms.
• Proactively anticipate and identify legal issues that may impact senior management, and develop strategic solutions, particularly in high-risk situations with limited time for assessment.
• Work closely with regional heads of finance, human resources, and compliance to review business practices, corporate structures, provide training, and conduct investigations as necessary.
Qualifications
• Law Graduate with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice.
• Preferred experience within the aviation industry, although not mandatory.

• Demonstrated proficiency in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various legal documents.
• Exceptional drafting skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
